The Summer of Wild Wind and Rattlesnakes

Medicine Bow National Forest // Forest Tourist

This is my love letter to Wyoming. The land of wild winds and rattlesnakes, snow covered peaks and dusty desert roads, and untouched rocks that sprout like islands from a sea of wild sagebrush. I spent two months over the summer working at the Magee Homestead in Saratoga, Wyoming, and these are my realizations about life after working at a luxury ranch.

Florida Spotlight: Bald Point State Park

This mini series on the blog is called Florida Spotlight, and it'll highlight amazing places in Florida. Simple enough, right? Labor of Love

Labor of Love // Forest Tourist

"Your deepest roots are in nature. No matter who you are, where you live, or what kind of life you lead, you remain irrevocably linked with the rest of creation. " -Charles Cook It's not every Saturday that I find myself putting on gardening gloves and squatting in the dirt at 8:30 am, but last Saturday that's exactly what I was doing. Lichgate on High Road was hosting a garden workday event, which meant I was hosting a garden workday event. For those of you who don't know, Lichgate is three acres of wilderness nestled within the hustle and bustle o[...]
